Stehekin Valley Ranch is finally blogging!

Stehekin Valley Ranch is finally succumbing to the techy world of blogging. The plan is to keep our visitors updated with information about what is going on in our little neck of the woods. Expect to find news about upcoming packages, special events such as our fall music festival, as well as any cool pictures we come up with.

Since we are new to all this technology, we are always looking for good ideas. Feel free to send us your suggestions and post comments. (Obviously, we will be monitoring this blog, and any inappropriate content will be deleted.)

We are planning to be in your area the last week in October. Will the fall colors still be pretty or will you have snow and winter? This will be our first time to spend any time in Washington. We will be staying in a condo in Manson. How far is it to your pastry co? That really looks good. Could we maybe drive to have lunch with you?

    Will appreciate your comments.
    Thanks,
    Doris

  2. Hi Doris-
October is always a great month for fall colors. They will be tailing off a little by the end of the month, but there should still be some nice color. Snow does not usually start to fall until closer to Thanksgiving.

Stehekin is not accessible by vehicle from Manson. You will have to go to Chelan and catch a passenger ferry to get here. The boat ride is 2.5 hours each way and by the end of October it is running on the winter schedule which goes 5 days a week, with a 1 hour layover in Stehekin. You can find more details about the boat ride at http://www.ladyofthelake.com.

It is 2 miles from the boat dock in Stehekin to the Pastry Co. I am not sure how late in the season they will be open. They usually close sometime in October.
